100In1Day is a growing global movement that is changing how people interact with their cities. Originating in Bogotá, Colombia in 2012, it has encouraged hundreds of one-day community-based interventions in cities around the world including Montreal, Santiago, and Cape Town.
On June 4, 2016 Toronto will feature 100+ interventions. Leading up to the day Evergreen and United Way Toronto York Region seek to inspire
citizens to pilot their city changing ideas with the intention that some of these ideas will be able to foster lasting change.
As a result of last year’s event, interventions in Toronto ranging from beautification projects to social events to city infrastructure improvements continue to create change and have a long term positive impact on their city.
