About the Urban Intervention

12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday June 4th 2016
Beyond donations, textiles can be recycled and diverted from landfill. Consumer waste creates environmental pressures from crop competition for more natural fibres vs. food to increased post consumer garbage.
And this toxic mess increases costs to all of us.
Sharing new thoughts on old threads and collecting textiles for responsible post consumption.

These materials will be part of my intervention:

computer, something to collect the materials, balloons, signs (printed paper, tape, etc), a table to do the collections.

It would be great if participants can bring with them:

DRY textiles that doesn't smell, ideally clean but can include holey sock(s), old towel, stained linen, ribbon, shrunken woolens, and fabrics that would normally be thrown in garbage + wearable apparel.
